Serve God in Slovakia
Formerly part of "Czechoslovakia," Slovakia came into it's own in 1993. This beautiful country is dotted with historic castles, quaint towns, and breathtaking mountain views. Refreshingly free from Western commercialism, Slovakia has a strong folk tradition which is complemented by an equally strong desire to modernize and become a well-known member of the international community. In order to do this, Slovak youth need to learn English. We are looking for credentialed teachers to serve in private Christian K-12 schools. Your service can make a significant difference in the lives of youth in Slovakia!

Director's Notes
A note from our Central Europe Regional Director:I recently visited Bratislava and met with the TeachOverseas team. After having a light meal at the D'Ettore family's cozy flat, they showed me around their neighborhood. We walked by numerous typical Slovak homes, shops, and their favorite bakery. I enjoyed hearing all about their adventures navigating public transportation, speaking a little Slovak to local shop-keepers, and meeting neighbors.
On Sunday I attended "The Well," a small post-modern church were Americans, Slovaks, Brits, and people of other nationalities join to worship Christ and share community. It was wonderful to hear about the work the Lord is doing in Slovakia from various people who serve in different ways.
Monday I observed classes at CS Lewis Bilingual High School and Narnia Church Elementary School. These private schools are dedicated to providing quality bilingual education and high moral standards in their teaching. Our teachers do an excellent job of keeping up with their busy schedules and tailoring their teaching to meet the schools' needs and goals.
These are exciting times as we see God working on hearts here in Slovakia.
